Rotary District 5870 Governor Beverly Luedcke visited Mexia last Thursday, stopping by the Rotary Club of Mexia’s noon meeting to tell what she hopes for District 5870 in the next year.
This week at Mexia LTC we started the week off with in-room activities of choice on Monday. We read Bible study notes sent by Bob Kersten on Tuesday on each hall.
Due to a recent change to the Local Government Code by the state legislature, Limestone County commissioners held a brief meeting Monday, Aug. 30, to schedule a public hearing on the budget for fiscal year 2021-2022.
Mike Hughes, owner of Mike’s of Mexia, marked his 50th year at his shop at 319 E. Milam last week, but he’s actually been a barber for 57 years.
