Limestone County commissioners hosted several guests at their meeting on Tuesday, Sept. 28, and made good on plans to refinance bonds, a possibility which has been considered and discussed in depth by the court throughout this calendar year.
Several dozen animal-loving citizens came together at the Groesbeck Convention Center on Saturday, Sept. 25, to enjoy dinner and support fundraising efforts by Limestone Animal Rescue And Shelter - LARAS House.
Mexia native and award-winning journalist Lindsay Liepman has signed on to write and direct a documentary on Country Music Hall of Fame songwriter Cindy Walker, who lived in Mexia more than 50 years until her death in March 2006.
