The Mexia Area Chamber of Commerce will unveil its new logo during Business After Hours, hosted by The Mexia News office, beginning at 5:30 p.m. Thursday, April 18.
Coolidge City Council resumed routine business at its Wednesday, April10, meeting — a sharp contrast to last month’s showdown between the mayor and several council members.
Mexia Public Works Department employees repair a major leak Wednesday, April 10, in the rain at Main and Railroad Streets. Barriers were placed preventing through-traffic from Sherman to Railroad and Railroad to Belknap Streets where the streets were flooded. The repair was still going on the next day after the crew worked into the evening hours Wednesday.
