Updated Notice of Planned Street Closures

Mexia City Manager Eric Garretty reports that the planned paving work had to shift a day due to contractor scheduling issues.  
The updated dates, times and locations of street work is:
• Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 15-16, 9 a.m. – 9 p.m., the segment of North Sherman Street from Milam to East Carthage will be closed to all traffic for paving operations.

• Wednesday and Thursday, Aug. 15-16, 7 a.m. – 9 p.m., the segment of South McKinney Street from Titus to Tyler will experience intermittent lane closures for paving operations. 
 
The paving work is being performed by Old Castle Materials Inc., of Cedar Park, through a contract with the city. The work is scheduled for completion by 9 p.m. on Aug. 16, but may require additional time due to unforeseen circumstances. Contact the City Manager at 254-562-4110 with any questions or concerns.
