The Mexia baseball team slashed 14 hits and played flawless defense to steamroll Elkhart, 14-0, in a District 20-3A game at Blackcat Field on Thursday, March 14.
The Mexia Runnin' Cats' season came to an end Friday night with a 70-67 overtime loss to Palmer in the area round of the Class 3A playoffs at the Coliseum at Italy High School.
McGregor did its best to slow down the Runnin' Cats in its Class 3A bi-district playoff game at Waco Midway on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
The Runnin' and Gunnin' Cats played at their preferred pace against Franklin on Tuesday night and the result was a victory and a share of the District 20-3A title.
As a youngster, Caden Grayson didn't dream of football glory. He didn't even play football. His sport was basketball.
