Mexia police looking for driver who fled after pursuit

Jaden Gregory, 21, is suspected of leading multiple law enforcement agencies on a chase early Friday morning, Feb. 11, from Freestone County into Limestone County.

About 1 a.m. Friday, Mexia police were dispatched to assist Freestone County deputies in pursuit of a a blue Ford pickup. They joined other agencies in an effort to safely stop the vehicle. During the pursuit, the truck hit a curb on Bailey Street and suffered damage.  The truck eventually crashed in the 1000 block of East Glendale, and the driver fled on foot into a wooded area where law enforcement officers lost contact with him.  

This is an ongoing investigation and the Mexia Police Department will provide additional information, through the Office of the City Manager, when it is publicly releasable.
