The Mexia Runnin' Cats' season came to an end Friday night with a 70-67 overtime loss to Palmer in the area round of the Class 3A playoffs at the Coliseum at Italy High School.
McGregor did its best to slow down the Runnin' Cats in its Class 3A bi-district playoff game at Waco Midway on Tuesday, Feb. 20.
The atmosphere at the Mexia High School gym was electric Tuesday night, and the Mexia Blackcats turned up the juice and left Palestine Westwood in the dark in a battle of state-ranked teams.
The Runnin' Cats ran Kemp out of the gym in a non-district basketball game Tuesday, Nov. 21.
Mexia's offense showed an ability to gain yards in chunks against China Spring, but the Blackcats could not stop the Cougars' offense as China Spring rolled to a 69-27 non-district football victory
