BOBBY JOE MADDOX

Bobby Joe Maddox, 87, of Fayetteville, Ark., peacefully passed into heaven Jan. 22, 2022, after suffering a fatal brain hemorrhage. Maddox is survived by his wife, Valdean Maddox, of Fayetteville; twin sister, Betty Harris, of Mexia; sister, Nelda LeNoir, of Groesbeck; and several nieces and nephews. He had one biological daughter, Belinda Maddox, of Fort Worth.

Funeral services for Betty Fails Carpenter, 79, will be held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, March 15, at Bowers Funeral Home in Teague. Brother Dalton Currie will officiate. Interment will follow at New Hope Cemetery in Limestone County.

Glenda Carol Barrett, of Mexia, passed away March 7, 2022, in Waco, Texas at the age of 72. Visitation with the family will be held from from 5 to 7 p.m., Friday, March 11, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. At 10 a.m. Saturday, March 26, a Celebration of Life Service will be held at Calvary Baptist Church with the Rev. Shane Norcross officiating.,

Joe Teel, of Mexia, passed away March 5, 2022, in Austin, at the age of 72. Visitation with the family will be 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday, March 9, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, March 10, at Calvary Baptist Church withthe Rev. Rick Gray and the Rev. Shane Norcross officiating. Darrell Spurlock, Shane Threat, Jason Morton, Brandon O’Neil and Johnny Barker will serve as pallbearers.
