Lecretia Cozette Sandefer

Lecretia Cozette Sandefer was born March 21, 1967, to Iva Dee Ritter and Ernest Lee Sandefer in Houstin, Mo., and passed away May 31, 2022.

She was a loving mother and had a butterfly’s beauty and spirit.

She is preceded in death by her grandparents, Birdie J. Sandefer, Goldie Mae Ritter, Jester Carter Ritter and Mr. and Mrs. C.A. Walton; her parents, Iva Dee Ritter and Enrest Lee Ritter; stepfathers, Hubert Ingram and John Walton; and her stepbrothers, Curtis Walton and Gene Walton.

She is survived by her sister, Goldie Bradley; her half-sisters, Diane Ro driguiez and Nancy Gwin; her half-brothers, Sandy Sandefer and Ronnie Cady; and her stepbrothers, Sam and David Walton.

She left her own butterflies in the world: a daughter, Kystal Reyes; and sons, Gillberto Reyes Jr. and Craig Allen Sandefer; six grandchildren and several nieces and nephews, and many, many loved ones she cocooned and emerged as family members all on her own.

Memorial services will be held at 6 p.m., Saturday, June 11, at 3855 N. Highway 84 in Mexia. Potluck styles so please bring a dish of your choice.
