EARNEST ‘PEE WEE’ NEMONS
Earnest “Pee Wee” Nemons was born April 20, 1966, to Henry Lewis Nemons and Freddie White. He attended Teague School District until his junior year. He moved to Mexia nd graduated in the Class of 1985.
He was baptized at an early age at Avant A.M.E. Church in Teague.
Earnest was a servant at heart that led him to help others in a variety of ways. He was known to be a Jack of all Trades and was always ready to lend a hand to someone who needed it. He did carpentry work as well as hanging drywall and helping wherever needed, which led him to meet many wonderful people. Earnest was a friendly, outgoing man; he seemed to know someone wherever he went. He loved his family, especially all his nephews and nieces. He was affectionately known as “Uncle Pee Wee” by his nieces and nephews. He had a wicked sense of humor and could always make you smile.
He passed away on March 21, 2022.
Earnest is preceded in death by his father, Henry Lewis Nemons; grandparents, Earnest and Jessie Nemons, Lucille Lusk and Fred Johnson; sisters, Gwendolyn Solomon, Gerthia White and Pearlie Nemons; uncles, Ernest, Charles Ray, Douglas and Howard Nemons; aunts, Lucy Mae Nemons and Cynthia Johnson; and nephews, Gregory, Tony and T’aveon Johnson.
Earnest “Pee Wee” Nemons will be dearly missed by his loving family. Left to lovingly cherish his memory are: mother, Freddie White; brothers, Patrick Nemons (Monica), Kenneth Johnson, Vernce Johnson, Sherman White (Jenell) and Stevie Nemons; brother-in-law, Darrell Solomon; sisters, Pamila Johnson and Carmen Anderson; aunts, Alice Polk, Willie Ruth Williams, Jenell Vickers and Gloria Jean Demus; special nieces and nephews, Darrilyn “Nikki” Solomon, Lateshia Solomon, Kianna Carter (Darrell) Catina Johnson, Morgan Hughey (Ricky), Ashley, Amy, Gwendolyn and Abbie Johnson, Tamera Smith, Charlisa Washington, Damiya Bledsoe, Jazzlyn Phillips, Jayzri and Donjur Glover, Ta’Leigha Hughey, Jaydrian, Jerrell and Chrislyn Johnson, CoQueshia Johnson, Christopher (Latonya), Darrell, Corey, Jazada, Deandra, Laila Solomon, Kendrick Johnson, Darious Eggins, Christopher (Jennifer) Johnson, Deandra Sandles, Jaylon and Corey White and Tyvonn Freeman; special Cousins, Boyd, Jessica, Lajenia, Mazzie Demus and Charles “Pumpkin” Johnson; special Friend, Jesse (Jamika) Townsel; along with a host of other loving relatives and friends.
Funeral services will be at 11 a.m. Saturday, April 2, at St. Luke United Methodist Church of Mexia. Arrangements are entrusted to Peraly Gates Funeral Home.
