Deacon Frank Barksdale
Deacon Frank Barksdale was born to the late Mr. Joe Taylor and Mrs. Bessie Stewart on Sept. 7, 1968, in Mexia. He passed away on Nov. 4, 2019.
He attended elementary and high school in Mexia. At an early age, he accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He became a member of Westside Church of Christ at an early age. He later became a member of Greater Little Zion Church in Mexia, under the leadership of Pastor Rickey Washington. He loved all his family, friends and church family. He will be greatly missed by all that loved him.
He was preceded in death memories, daughter, Tabetha Clark; sisters, Sandra Townsend, Betty Jo Nolan; brothers, Billy Ed, Michael, Jerry and Paul Barksdale; uncles, Dwight (Linda) Gamble, Pastor Charles (LuWanza) Gamble; wife, Tamara Barksdale; step-kids, La’Sandria and Joe Brown Jr.; grandchildren, DyReion Clark, Destykni Mack, Quilee Mack and Joshua Brown. And a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
Service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 16, at Mexia High School auditorium. Arrangements and service entrusted to Pearly Gates Funeral Home.
