Charles “Charlie” Wilburn Allen, longtime Mexia businessman, passed away Sept. 18, 2022, in Waco, at the age of 84. Funeral services will be at 1 p.m., Saturday, Sept. 24, at First Baptist Church with Brother Michael Vestal officiating. Interment will follow in the Point Enterprise Cemetery.
Visitation with the family will be 6 to 8 p.m., Friday, at Blair-Stubbs Funeral Home.
Charlie was wellknown for his famous
“Charlie Burgers.” He was preceded in death by his loving wife, Dorothy Allen. Memorials may be made to Temple Baptist Church, 719 S. Red River, Mexia, TX 76667. A complete obituary will be in the Saturday edition of The Mexia News.
