MARIUS ANTHONY ‘POOCHIE’ DAVIS
Marius Anthony “Poochie” Davis was born to Jasper Davis and Inez Blacknall-Davis on Jan, 13, 1964, in Mexia. He attended school in Groesbeck and graduated in 1982 and then he went to the Navy from 1982-1985. He passed away April 23, 2022.
In 1999, he married Cathy Dansby and to this union, no children were born. He was preceded in death by his mother, Inez Davis.
He leaves to cherish his memories, his beloved wife, Cathy Dansby; father, Jasper (Rita) Davis; son, Marvin (Jade) Thomas; stepsons, Brandon Dansby and Demarcus Colbert; step-daughter, Kristal Kari; sisters, Verna Hobbs and Rhonda Davis; brothers, Billy Davis, John (Kelly) Davis and Brian (Regina) Davis; special uncle, Henry Willie (Salena) Davis; special niece, NaShari Odom; special cousin, Edwin Blacknall and special friends, Victor Jones and Valentin Maldonado; a host of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and friends.
Service and arrangements entrusted to Pearly Gates Funeral Home. Service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 7, at Lone Star Baptist Church of Groesbeck.
